Acid Sulphate Humic Acid Granules 60% Alkaline Organic Amendment for Peat Reclamation Programs

Opening peat and acid sulphate land in Kalimantan and the Mekong Delta usually begins with a pH reading between three and four, free aluminium at toxic levels, and iron that stains the water red after the first rain. Lime is the standard correction, but lime alone does not rebuild the organic structure that drainage has destroyed, and on deep peat it is quickly consumed.

This granule is intended to work alongside lime, not replace it. The alkaline humate fraction buffers the soil solution and complexes free aluminium, reducing the sharp pH swing that follows drainage, while the organic matter feeds the microbial population that peat soils lose when they are exposed. Growers on recently opened land typically apply it with the first lime dressing, then again at the start of the second season once the pH has stabilised.

Apply 300 to 500 kg per hectare incorporated into the top 20 cm at land preparation, together with dolomite at the rate indicated by the soil test. Repeat at 200 to 300 kg per hectare in the second season. Suitable for rice, pineapple, oil palm and vegetable production on newly opened peat, and for rehabilitation of drained acid sulphate flats. Do not apply to standing water without incorporation, and monitor pH at 30 and 90 days to confirm the direction of change.

Plantation developers and land rehabilitation contractors in Indonesia and Vietnam are the target buyers, and they normally order alongside lime and rock phosphate, so we can quote a combined programme and stagger the deliveries to the land clearing schedule. A 20ft container carries 24 tons. We will read the buyer's soil test and put the recommended rates in writing for their agronomist to sign off.

Packing is 25 kg PP woven bag with PE liner, 1 ton jumbo bag, or 500 kg sling bag. Each batch is tested for humic acid, organic matter, moisture, pH and buffer capacity against a standard acid solution. Retained samples are kept for 24 months, and production follows ISO 9001 procedures.
