Flakes are the form most horticulture buyers in the Philippines and Thailand ask for, because they wet out faster than powder and produce far less airborne dust in a greenhouse or packing shed. Our flakes come off a drum flaker after alkaline extraction of Ningxia leonardite, and the glassy black surface is a useful visual indicator of a clean extract with low ash and low insoluble content.
In practice the flakes are used three ways: dissolved in a drum for drip or drench application on vegetables and strawberry, stirred into compost tea as a carbon and microbial food source, and blended dry into growing media for seedling nurseries. Because the flakes dissolve to a clear dark brown solution at 1:500, they are also used as a carrier for soluble trace element mixes where a powder would leave residue in the spray tank.

Soil drench and drip: dissolve 5 to 15 kg per hectare per cycle, applied every 14 days during vegetative growth. Compost tea: 1 kg per 200 litres of water, aerated for 12 hours. Growing media: 2 to 4 kg per cubic metre of peat or peat mix before filling trays. Foliar: 30 to 50 g per 100 litres, applied with a wetting agent at low water hardness. On high value crops in Benguet, Dalat and Chiang Mai, growers often alternate humic flakes with seaweed extract to keep root pressure up during the hot dry spell.
Buyer Guide for Southeast AsiaMost of our flake volume moves to the Philippines and Thailand in 25 kg bags, with a growing share packed in 1 kg and 5 kg retail pouches for garden centre chains. Flakes are bulky, so a 20ft container loads 16 to 18 tons without pallets. We can supply a dissolution test video from the production lot before shipment, which several buyers now require for new suppliers. Bahasa, Thai and Vietnamese label files can be printed on request.
Packaging & Quality AssurancePacking is 25 kg PP woven bag with PE liner, 10 kg carton, or 1 kg and 5 kg retail pouches with the buyer's artwork. Flakes are screened for thickness and dust before bagging. Batch records cover humic acid content, solubility, moisture and pH, with retained samples kept for 24 months. Production follows ISO 9001 and every shipment is accompanied by COA and MSDS.
