Leonardite Humic Acid Granules 70% 2-4mm Organic Soil Conditioner for Oil Palm Estates

These granules are made by pan granulating fine leonardite powder with water only, without bentonite or starch binder, so the granule breaks down in moist soil and releases the humic fraction where the root mat actually sits. The 2 to 4 mm size is the range that most estate spreaders and knapsack applicators handle well, and the surface is rounded enough to flow through a fertiliser spreader without bridging.

The main market for this grade is Indonesian and Malaysian oil palm, where the soils are often sandy Ultisols or drained peat with low exchange capacity. Applied in the weeding circle or the harvest path, the granules raise cation exchange capacity, reduce potassium leaching after the monsoon, and improve the efficiency of the annual NPK dressings. Estate agronomists normally budget for two applications per year, at the start of the rainy season and again four to five months later.

Apply 150 to 300 kg per hectare per year for mature oil palm, split into two rounds, broadcast in the weeding circle at 1.5 to 2 metres from the trunk and lightly raked in. For immature palms from 1 to 3 years, 50 to 100 g per palm per round is enough. On rubber, coconut and banana the same rate per plant works well. The granules can also be blended with granular NPK, urea or organic compost at 5 to 10 percent of the blend weight, which is the common route for fertiliser blenders in Medan and Johor.

For Indonesian buyers we normally ship 25 kg bags in a 20ft container at 24 tons, or 1 ton jumbo bags at 20 tons. Repacking into 5 kg or 10 kg estate packs is available with the buyer's artwork. We provide a per container COA and can include a moisture and granule hardness report so the estate can match our lot to their spreader settings. Shipment from Qingdao or Tianjin to Belawan, Tanjung Priok or Port Klang takes about 18 to 24 days.

Packing options are 25 kg PP woven bag with liner, 1 ton jumbo bag, or 500 kg sling bag for estate stores. Granules are screened after cooling and again before bagging, so oversize and fines are removed. Each lot is tested for humic acid content, moisture, pH and hardness, and retained samples are kept for 24 months under ISO 9001 production control.
